Yesterday, the board convened for another board meeting. During this meeting, the board appointed this year’s winners of the unions honorary and pedagogical prizes, as well as a student speaker to the faculty’s graduation ceremony. The board approved two applications to the union project fund, and decided to order more lab coats. Furthermore, the board discussed the definition of a course representative, as well as the suggested focus matters in next year’s operational plan. There was also discussions regarding updates of the Guideline for Crisis Management. Lastly, the board decided to buy a new fridge/freezer to the union office!

This Tuesday, the parliament convened for another meeting. During the meeting, the parliament appointed Per-Olof (PO) Zetterberg as honorary member of LUNA! The parliament did also decide upon updates in the Directive for the Sports Committee, and discussed changes in the Directive for the Environmental Committee, the Guideline for Graphical Profile, the Policy for Economy and Agreements and the Union Regulations. Furthermore, the parliament discussed what to do with some parts of the current operational plan, which are hard to conduct due to the covid-19 pandemic.

The board had its sixteenth meeting yesterday. During the meeting, the board prepared several documents for the upcoming parliament meetings. There were discussions regarding the Policy for Environmental Work, the Directive for the Sports Committee, the union Regulations and the Policy for Economy and Agreements. Furthermore, the board decided upon an agreement between LUNA and NDR, which if a student representative position within the Faculty of Science should be filled by a student or by a phd student. The board did also decide to buy a new card reader, and discuss the membership fee for the upcoming year. Lastly, the board went through the operational plan and checked what we have left to do, and decided to ask RK to remove some to-sentences. This since the covid-19 pandemic makes it hard to complete them.

Yesterday, the parliament convened for its first elective parliament meeting this spring. The parliament decided to elect Tindra Weichselbraun Alvander as president and Tom Brilioth as vice president of the union during the operational year of 2021/22. The parliament did also elect Tanvir Sayed as union board member for the upcoming operational year. Furthermore, the parliament set the position as Head of Corporate Relations and four positions in the union board as vacant. Yesterday, the board convened for another board meeting. At the meeting, the board started to discuss the operational plan and budget for the upcoming operational year. There was also discussions regarding covid-19, the active members appreciation sitting, course representative, how to anchor the LUS elections and an upcoming cook-along. Furthermore, the board decided to approve upon an agreement with TLTH regarding study monitoring of the scientific base year.

Yesterday, the parliament had this year’s second meeting. At the meeting, the parliament got information about the covid-19 adaptions of the UTOPIA ball, as well as information about the results from the covid-19 survey conducted during the autumn. The parliament did also decide upon new post descriptions for the union, and upon updates in the opinion document, the opinion document LUNA@Brunnshög and in the directives for the party committee. Furthermore, the parliament decided to have an extra meeting the 27th of April, in order to finish all work of this operational year. Lastly, the parliament had a discussion about getting an authorized financial auditor for the union. The discussion will continue during the upcoming operational year.

Yesterday, the board convened for another board meeting. At this meeting, the board discussed the digital graduation ceremony, which LUNA plans in cooperation with the Faculty of Science. The board did decide upon the date for the UTOPIA ball 2022, and approve upon the documents for parliament meeting 2, which takes place next week. Furthermore, the board discussed some updates in the directive for the environmental committee, covid-19 updates, LUS operational plan 2021/22 and the possibility for LUNA to participate in the future week 2021.
