During this meeting, the board approved MUR’s new Instagram and Facebook pages.
The board also discussed the budget for Utopia next year, since it will be a jubilee ball. The budget for the jubilee and Utopia will probably be separate, but this will be discussed at Parliament.
LUNA has been contacted by a merchandise company, but there was a consensus that we should not switch supplier for merchandise yet.

Union Board (1,0)
The board is the executive part of the union. As a part of the union board you make executive decisions for the improvement of the union according to the operational plan. This includes. but is not limited to, bringing forth strategies and executing said strategies together with the presidium, making sure the union operations are running smoothly and supporting the presidium during stressful times.

Jubileemaster (2,0)
As a union Jubileemaster, you are responsible for planning and carrying out the 25 year jubilee celebrations of LUNA! The jubileemasters would be free to expand the project group to the amount of people needed. The jubilee celebration will be carried out in the fall of 2020 and the planning should be done in the spring of 2020.

The last board meeting before Christmas time was held on Wednesday the 18th of December. Festive fika was eaten, photos were taken and matters such as studentkortet, the union website and next semester timetable were discussed. A very important part of the agenda was the continued process of making the Union coffee sustainable and good. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the LUNA Board!

The Mentor Committee (FU) at Lunds naturvetarkår (LUNA) is therefore organising welcome activities for all new students at the Faculty of Science to help you explore your new environment and to bring all new students studying science together.
The welcome activities take place the 23rd and 25th of January. There will be an information meeting and a fabulous quiz on the 23rd and a glamorous sitting together with old students at the faculty on the 25th. The chairperson of the Mentor Committee will gladly answer all of your questions at fu-ordf@luna.lu.se. It is also possible to buy tickets when arriving in Lund.

The last union Parliament of 2019 was held on December 9th. Parliament elected a new Parliament chairperson and alternate chairperson, as well as a party committee member.
Parliament decided to approve of an updated version of the union policy for alcohol and drugs.
There were also discussions about closed-door meetings. At the next Parliament, a potential clarification in the regulations about what applies when it comes to closed-door meetings will be brought up.
There was discussion on how we can ensure that the new active union members can feel supported by the older members, while still feeling free to explore their positions on their own. This discussion will continue on in the future.
Parliament also continued the discussion on long-term goals and were given a presentation from the HMS chairperson of the results from the “Are You Okay?” survey.
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Parliament representatives of 2019 for their great work this year!
The board had its 8th meeting this Thursday and all members gathered to discuss some important matters. The Chairperson of the Health, Environment and Safety Committee (HMS) was there to present the result of the survey ”Are you okay?”. This was followed by some input from the board members on how the committee can present the survey. The Board held a first discussion on what to do during the spring’s Hällsningsgillet for new students at the university and the board’s event working group will ensure that LUNA has a fun and informative presents. The board also held two discussions on matters lying further into the future, a possible common sign-up system for all of Studentlund and a possible change in local situation.
The board is also doing the final touches on an event for the Music Aid (sv: Musikhjälpen). Next Thursday you can find board members outside of the astronomy building all afternoon selling science gingerbread cookies with the full income going to the charity!
Board meeting number 7 took place on Wednesday afternoon at Astronomihuset. After reports and notifications from the various parts of the Union the main discussions were about the best and most fair uses of the LUNA Project Fund – connected to some applications made. Additional discussion was about plans to cooperate with a company to create brochures for LUNA in order to spread information about the Union to students in a better way.
The eighth Paliament of 2019 was held on 2019-11-18!
During the meeting, Parliament elected a Mentor Committee chairperson and three committee members. Two LUNA representatives for SFSFUM were also elected.
There was discussion on potentially having long-term goals for the union, but Parliament wanted to continue the discussion next meeting. There was also discussion on the Parliament patch, and an update on the Pop-Up Shop was presented.

Tandem General (3,0)
The Tandem Generals are responsible for organising the LUNA participation in the annual ‘Tandem Staffetten’ taking place in May. Tandem stafetten is a relay-race from Gothenburg to Lund where teams from all over Lund travel by buss to Gothenburg to later bike tandem bicycles down to Lund. The responsibility of the Tandem Generals include but is not limited to ensuring the LUNA-team follows all the rules set up by the organisers, bookings of buses and making sure the participants have the best possible time during the entire relay-race. The Tandem Generals are ultimately responsible during the race and have to stay sober the whole event.

Parliament Presidium (2,2)
As a part of the Parliament Presidium you work in a pair of chairperson and secretary to lead the parliament meetings taking place roughtly once a month. The Parliament is the highest deciding body of The Science Student Union and is where all major decisions are made. As part of the Parliament presidium you are expected to be familiar with the statutes and have experience with meeting formalia.
