The tickets for LUNA’s annual ball UTOPIA will be released for LUNA members on April 5th, and the general release will happen on April 12th.
The RK is the union parliament and the highest deciding body in LUNA. It consists of 2-3 representatives from each of the six student councils who speak for the students on a range of important matters. Such as how we are organized, how the unions resources are allocated and what student representatives should advocate for.
To be a RK representatives gives you great insight into the various part of the union and our work. It convenes about once a month, each meeting being about 2 hours long, and you can expect a couple more hours for preparations and anchoring. You can find a more detailed description of the position here.
An education on the ins and outs of the union parliament will be held before the first RK meeting of 2021 in February. So don’t feel worry if you don’t think you know enough about it already!
Contact your student council in case you are interested in knowing more or how to apply.

We know that right now, it can be extra tough, due to the COVID-19 (Corona) situation. We want to make you aware that the student health centre (sv: studenthälsan) have set aside phone times everyday between 11-12 for questions regarding Corona. You can reach them on +46(0) 46 222 4385.
Here are also some relevant links you might want to take a look at. They touch on the subjects of mental health and stress, due to the current world situation:
Hi,
As you probably all know, information regarding COVID-19 is changing rapidly and we will try to keep you updated and answer any questions you might have.
We are currently attending meetings with the faculty and with other student unions, in order to make sure we get the best information regarding the situation.
The faculty of science will, as soon as possible, replace on-site education with online education. Note that this is a very different thing from shutting down the university. Your CSN money will not be affected by the switch to online teaching, and even if the university should shut down, you would still get the money that CSN previously decided to grant you.
Another thing to note is that the faculty has decided there will be no study social activity in its locales that is not related to education monitoring. Such activities include pubs, movie nights, etc., that are held in the faculty’s locales.
For detailed questions about how your education will be affected by the switch to online teaching, please contact your department.
We (LUNA) will follow guidelines and directives issued by the government and the University. We also plan on keeping up to date with information, so that we can try and notify you as soon as possible if anything changes. We will close our office during some time due to the situation, and will soon give a more detailed update on how the situation will affect the union’s operations.
If you have questions regarding the situation, you are welcome to contact us at luna@luna.lu.se. If you would like to book a meeting with us due to office hours being closed, you are more than welcome to do so. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
we have understood that there are some questions regarding our ball (Utopia), that will take place on Saturday. These questions are mainly due to the constantly developing situation regarding the virus COVID-19, commonly referred to as coronavirus.
There will still be a ball this Saturday, but we are keeping a close watch on the news. The authorities have put restrictions of gatherings larger than 500 people, restrictions the university has also chosen to follow. As Utopia does not fall in that category (we expect around 200 people to attend), we estimate that it is safe to go ahead with the ball.
We are also keeping up to date with the new developments regarding the virus and the rules and recommendations that go with it. If anything changes, we will notify you immediately, and information will be sent to everyone as well as posted on social media.
However, if you are feeling unwell or unsure about you attending to the ball, we recommend that you stay at home.
If you have any further questions, you can reach us on : luna@luna.lu.se
Otherwise, we hope to see you all on Saturday!
As most of you probably have heard, there has been a reported case of the Corona virus (COVID-19) at the Faculty of Science in Lund. However, there is no case for alarm. The affected person is being well taken care of and is in no critical condition. Specialist doctors at Smittskydd Skåne have said there is no need to change any routines at a personal or faculty level.
People having been in contact with the affected person have been informed, and necessary precautions have been taken (such as remaining at home for 14 days).
For more information from the university regarding the corona virus, visit: https://www.medarbetarwebben.lu.se/article/uppdatering-angaende-coronaviruset.
As always in times of flu, remember to wash your hands often with soap and water.
If you have any further questions, contact the presidium at luna@luna.lu.se.
